Lir Resources has identified and evaluated the acreage in the East Irish Sea and Southern North Sea Basins offering the highest stacked play potential and is focussed on acquiring in interest in those licenses. In tandem with this objective, Lir is aggressively developing innovative platform and energy transition technologies.
Lir recognises and promotes the development of decarbonised energy systems with a measured transition away from traditional oil and gas. Natural gas, being a relatively clean hydrocarbon, forms a bridge towards this end. Lir believes that by invoking its innovative platform and energy transition technologies, it can make a significant step in this direction whilst offering a great return on investment for its stakeholders.
Lir has access to several patented platform technologies which reduce well and facilities costs, minimising CAPEX, OPEX and ABEX. The technologies will also deliver a cost-effective solution for the capture and storage of CO2.
Lir has also developed bespoke offshore platform designs which accommodate either offshore power plants or hydrogen production plants, without the significant increase in costs, when compared to onshore solutions.
