The Lir Resources’ team of oil and gas professionals has over 150 years’ cumulative experience in the sub-surface assessment, facilities design and operation of offshore field developments. Founded in 2017, Lir combines the knowledge of seasoned geoscience, engineering and commercial experts in a management team which distinguishes itself by its entrepreneurial spirit, challenge of paradigms and development of innovative solutions.

Chief Executive Officer

  • PhD in Geophysics and Sedimentology, Aston University; MBA, Warwick Business School.
  • Technical expertise in East Irish Sea and Southern North Sea basins (Mobil, Clyde).
  • 30 years’ technical and commercial experience with Majors, Independents & Service Companies.
  • Executive roles in M&A, Strategy & Innovation within Oil & Gas and Defence (QinetiQ).
  • Fellow of the Geological Society of London, Member of Chapter Zero and Former NED on the Board of the PESGB.

  • Over 30 years’ experience. Senior appointments in BG Group (Egypt, China & Uruguay), Eni (Egypt), Lasmo (UK, Libya & Venezuela) and Mobil North Sea.
